About Affirming Lens

Affirming Lens is about weaving connection.  We capture moments in nature with tuned-in wisdom and love from the Divine.  It all began with a practice of looking for the good in life and finding it ...and the feelings gratitude and inspired understandings which came forth.

 

We photograph moments that draw our attention.  These can uplift and affirm, whether it’s the peace of nature, the joy of connection, or the light in everyday details.  Each image is woven with words, attuned to offer forth reflection, resilience, and hope.  Perhaps in this, there can be reminder that in the midst of our humanity, the Divine is.

Our self-created logo came forth via inspiration and affirms everything in life is connected in oneness.

We evolved forth from Affirming Lens Photography, a sole proprietorship founded by Jess Chatfield in 2015.   While the mission is unchanged, the vision has shifted to a wider lens.  With gratitude to Shirley, Jim, Deborah, Jill, Jen, Heather Chatfield-Ammen, the Connecticut Women's Business Development Center, and myriad others who have supported this quest from inspiration to expression.
